FC barcelona will be looking for an Inspiring win against Xerez
The coming ten days could be the most vital days in FC Barcelona's success of this season. After the 3-1 loss at San Siro, Barca will be looking to get back on track with an emphatic win against bottom placed Xerez. It is impossible to prepare for this match without focusing on Wednesday's match against Inter Milan and the visit to Villarreal after that. FC Barcelona coach has already warned everyone the danger of taking Xerez lightly. It would be a difficult task for Guardiola to make his players focus on this match, as Inter Milan clash will be dominating most of their minds. Dani Alves is suspended for this match following his red card against Espanyol, Iniesta is out injured and it looks like Abidal also will be missing from the squad after being unable to train. Guardiola has already highlighted this week as the one which will decide it all for Barca in the league and in Europe. We might see some of the regular players getting a day off tonight as for the preparation for the match against Inter Milan.
Guardiola may be tempted to rest many of Barca Regulars
Everyone expect Messi to be rested in this match but I have a feeling that he will start. After struggling against Inter Milan, Guardiola may want his star striker to feel good before the do-or-die match. The formation for tonight's encounter may give a hint about how we will line-up against Inter Milan. I am not a big fan of 4-2-3-1 formation, but I believe that will be the best against Inter. So I am going to expect Guardiola to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. The defense most probably would have Puyol, Marquez, Milito and Maxwell. We will have Xavi and Toure playing in front of the defense. Upfront in the middle we may have the trio of Henry, Messi and Bojan with Ibrahimovic upfront. This going to be a crucial match for Barca has we always used to carry our form in league to Europe. We need a massive win against Xerez.
Xerez may have been lying bottom of the league but are actually in the middle of a good run by their standard. In their last six matches they have lost only once and won against Atletico Madrid away from home last week. But I firmly believe that they will be at the receiving end of a FC Barcelona rising up and the match could feature an embarrassing scoreline for Xerez. Bojan has scored goals recently whenever he started and I am going to expect that he will score again tonight. I don't care whether Ibrahimovic scores in this match, I don't want Guardiola to start with him on Wednesday. We have to finish off this match as early as can since that will give some rest of some of the players. Leaving it late will be a disaster for Barca. I expect this match to be a comfortable one for Barca and we may be seeing a scoreline of 5-0.
