Keisuke Honda opening the scoring for the Asian super power just before tha half time, A half which was a toal dull affair niether team could compose themselves and did not take the game by the scuff of the neck. Until Honda poped up with a surprising goal when he was left unmarked at the far post, when a cross was whipped in, he had the simplest of job to tap the ball in the goal. Cameroon started out well in the second half but Samuel Eto's and the company could not breat the resiliant Japenese defence.
