The war of words between Carlos Tevez and Sir Alex Ferguson has continued, with the Manchester United boss claiming that the Argentine is not worth £25 million.
"We made contact with Carlos.
"We sent him texts and spoke to him when he was in Argentina. Our chief executive, David Gill, made an offer to Kia Joorabchian and we spoke to Tevez before we played Inter Milan [in March] and told him we had spoken to Kia but we never heard back.
"In my opinion, I don't think he was worth £25m.
Ferguson then claimed that Tevez's new team, Man City, would struggle to break into the top four, although he did back their controversial pursuit of Chelsea captain John Terry.
