Iniesta Out For a Month

Andres Iniesta has been ruled out of action with a calf tear in his right leg. The medical staffs have confirmed that he has suffered total rupture of the right femoral biceps muscle, and could be out for action for four weeks. With this injury Iniesta will will be missing the Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan. He is also set to miss a set of La Liga matches - Deportivo, Espanyol, Xerez, Villarreal, Tenerife and Sevilla. FC Barcelona has coped well with Iniesta's absence but against a team like Inter Milan, his service could be very crucial. Iniesta has been plagued by injuries this season and with World Cup fast approaching no one wants to take any risk. He is expected to return for Champions League final, if Barca get past Inter. Keita and Toure could be very good cover for Iniesta, but they both cannot match Iniesta for skill. Let's hope we can get past Inter without "San Andres".

Chygrynskiy and Yaya Toure Re-joins Full Training

Finally some good news for FC Barcelona fans - Barca Players Yaya Toure and Dmytro Chygrynskiy both have returned to full training with the rest of the squad. It would be music to every Barca fans ears, especially the return of Yaya Toure. On Wednesday the duo trainied in isolation, but today they joined with their team mates for warm up and drills. Now that simply means both are back almost fit. Toure most probably will start against Racing if he is declared fit. Barca were facing a shortage of fit midfielders and this is all good news for Guardiola.

Injured Barca Players Recovering Well

Meanwhile FC Barcelona Midfielder Xavi Hernandez continued his recovery working with a fitness coach away from the rest of the squad. His recovery looks on track and we can expect to see him in action in two weeks time. Dani Alves is also working with injury concerns, and also jogged with and without the ball in the company of a fitness coach. Meanwhile Jonathan Dos Santos, Marc Bartra and Thiago Alcántara continued training withe the senior squad.

A Night Of Mixed Feelings

FC Barcelona beat Zaragoza 3-1 tonight at the Nou Camp and are back at the top of the Spanish League table, as prior leaders Sevilla dropped two points after drawing at Racing Santander. In a close and entertaining match, Gabriel Milito opened the score for Zaragoza and Ronaldinho (2) and Saviola made the goals that sealed Barcelona's comeback.

However, there was also bad news tonight as Lionel Messi got injured and had to leave the pitch in the 23rd minute, being substituted by Ludovic Giuly. Medical tests performed on the Argentinian player after the match have confirmed that Messi suffered a fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone of his left foot, will need to undergo surgery and may be out for three months.

Barcelona are now the alone Liga leaders with 23 points. Sevilla, Real Madrid and Zaragoza come behind them.

The Plus point as far as Barca are concerned form the match are:

1) They are back to where they belong Top of the League...
2) Ronnie is showing every sign of recovering back to his usual form....
3) Barca came back well from a goal down...........
4) ronnie might have scored the Goal of La Liga....

I am adding the Links to 2nd and 3rd Goal here... Its posted by Richie... So sincerely using this oppurtuinity to thank him...
