The stick that the critics used to beat Liverpool in the past is their inability to win matches after any good European performance( be it home or away). But the situation here demands more than just resilient attitude. Gerrard, Torres & Meireles are certain to feature while Jovanovic will go on left making room for enigmatic Cole to play on the right wing.

Blackburn will test Liverpool with their typical physical presence. Pedersen will be the man to watch out for however lack of goals from their forwards is a major concern for Sam Allardyce. The trio of Diouf, Kalinic & Emerton have produced only 4 goals between them. The boss feels defensive errors are costing them points. So, I don't expect Blackburn to play a free flowing attacking football rather a cautious approach which Liverpool should exploit.Its not a do or die situation for Liverpool but certainly they just can't afford any more defeats & draws.
