The transfer merry-go round has continued today with Aston Villa completing the signing of Blackburn Rovers keeper Brad Friedel whilst Tottenham have sold keeper Paul Robinson to Blackburn.The Brad Friedel deal was put on hold until Rovers boss Paul Ince had completed the signing of Spurs' Paul Robinson. Manchester City made a last ditch attempt to sign Friedel but it was too late with the big American shot-stopper signing for a fee believed to be £1.5 million.
Meanwhile, Robinson completed his £3.5 million move to Ewood Park late last night after agreeing personal terms and completing a medical. I feel the signing of Robinson by Blackburn could turn out to be a quality bit of business. All the England international needs to do is gain some confidence and he will prove to be a terrific signings.
