Manchester United have today been rocked by the news that midfielder Owen Hargreaves has aggravated a previous knee injury. The England international hasn't appeared this season for the Premier League Champions due to the injury and it would appear now he is set for a lengthier spell on the sidelines.Hargreaves, 27, was due to play 45 minutes in tonight's European Super Cup against Zenit St Petersburg in Monaco. The former Bayern Munich midfielder joined United last summer for a fee believed to be £18 million and has since then won the Premier League and Champions League.
It is really disappointing to see Hargreaves pick up yet another injury. I personally feel he has been a tremendous signing by Sir Alex Ferguson and I am sure all United fans will be devastated to see him injured again. This also rules him out of England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
