Tottenham are closing on the signing Real Zaragoza keeper Cesar Sanchez. The 36-year old veteran is likely to complete a move to White Hart Lane early next week, where he is to provide cover for Spurs first choice keeper Heurelho Gomes.The former Spain international has been linked with a move to the Premier League side for a while now as Juande Ramos continues to add to his squad. Sanchez has been at Le Romareda for three years now after spending five years at Real Madrid.
After the departure of Radek Cerny and Paul Robinson earlier this summer, it comes as no surprise to me to see Sanchez heading for North London. I only really expect to see Sanchez playing for Spurs in cup games unless Gomes picks up an injury. Sanchez will provide excellent cover and will be a good addition to the Spurs squad.
