Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has today admitted he doesn't know if he has a future at the club. The Republic of Ireland international has fallen out of favour at Anfield following the arrival of Alvaro Arbeloa last season.The 32-year old joined the Reds five years ago from fellow Premier League side Fulham, when Gerard Houiller was at the helm. Finnan said "I haven't played, but I will just wait and see and when the transfer window closes, we will know then,"
"I will wait and see if I can get into the team; if not, then obviously I want to play, so we will just have to take it from there."Finnan also revealed he has spoken to Benitez about his situation, but was not elaborating. I can see Finnan leaving the Reds for someone like Stoke or Hull before the window closes. He is a decent player, but not Liverpool standard in my opinion and I feel it would be best for him and indeed Liverpool if he left now.
