Ronaldinho following Ronaldo's downhill path

After watching the Olympic semi-final between Argentine and Brazil, I couldn't help but notice how poor Ronaldinho played. He was, without doubt the worst player on the pitch, and in my opinion should of been taken off at half-time.

He was simply on the pitch by reputation alone. About an hour into the game, Brazil took of Rafael Sobis and brought on Alexander Pato. Now it was clear for all to see that Sobis was contributing far more than the once Player of the Year Ronaldinho, yet Sobis was the player to exit.

Then ten minutes later, the influential Diego was substituted, rather than the stocking that is Ronaldinho, for Manchester City striker Jo.

After a poor 18 months at Barcelona last season, Ronaldinho left for a new challenge with Serie A giants AC Milan. He opted for AC ahead of a move to the Premier League with Manchester City and I can only say I am delighted he picked Milan.

His first three years at the Camp Nou he was unbelievable but since then he looks like an average Sunday League player. He looks out of shape and out of place in the Brazil national team and I feel it is about time Dunga grew a pair and dropped fallen star.

It is clear to me that Ronaldinho may be following the same path of former Brazil legend Ronaldo.
