He has lined up Magpies striker Michael Owen as a possible replacement and the former Real Madrid front man may be interested in a fresh start away from Newcastle.
I personally feel Owen will be very interested in a move to the North London club. His time at Newcastle has simply been rotten, what with injury and indeed poor form so a clean slate at Spurs may appeal to him. I think Kevin Keegan will do everything he can to hold onto the 28-year old but in the end he will accept a bid of about £12 million for the England international.
